About Prosper PT & Wellness
Our Goal
Our goal is simple - healthy aging.
After years of working in healthcare, our founder, Kristina, understood that insurance doesn't cover everything. Most plans lack coverage for prevention services and few have wellness benefits. In order to age well, these aspects of care are vital. Prosper PT & Wellness is here to provide this expert level of care.
Our mission is to create access to these services that are deemed "not medically necessary". Therefore, the physical therapy provided through Prosper PT & Wellness is not the traditional style you're used to. Focusing our attention on being proactive rather than reactive, we help you develop a plan for healthy aging before your balance and reaction times change, before you feel less active, and before you feel unable. Healthy aging starts today.
We offer this level of physical therapy as a concierge model that will also allow for opportunities to engage in generosity so that services are accessible to all.
Why A Physical Therapist, And Not A Doctor?
Physical therapists are movement experts. With the additional training to be a credentialed balance and falls professional, Kristina is fully equipped to identify the risks and challenges adults aged 55+ may face and develop a plan based on their individual goals.
Our Secret To Healthy Aging
How do you age well? Our formula is all about prevention and intervention. We identify your risks, develop solutions, and implement data driven interventions to help you prosper. Our lives are like the rings of a tree; each ring demonstrates a year of life and growth. Together, we can work on creating a healthy and prosperous year, every year.
Meet Kristina Wolfe, PT
Hi, I'm Kristina Wolfe, proud founder and owner of Prosper PT & Wellness. With over 25 years of clinical experience as a physical therapist, I have witnessed the value of prevention and ongoing wellness. After helping many people reach their goals to improve their mobility, strength and balance after illness or injury, I decided it was time for a proactive rather than reactive approach.
Maryland native. North Carolina transplant. I’m a proud Pirate Grad (Go ECU!). My perfect day starts with good coffee, time spent in prayer, and getting outdoors to exercise with friends; it also includes sitting around the table having conversation with our girls after cooking a delicious meal with my husband.
I am the regional lead of the Triangle Falls Prevention Coalition and have served on the steering committee of the North Carolina Falls Prevention Coalition. I am active member of APTA Geriatrics and the Falls Prevention special interest group through APTA-NC. I also serve on the task force for APTA Geriatrics and the National Senior Games Association.
