Use this link to register and pay for this class: 8 classes from April to Mid June on Fridays 12-12:50pm: Did you know that fourteen million, or 1 in 4 Americans age 65+, falls each year? Yet falls are NOT a NORMAL part of the aging process. Join Kristina Wolfe, a Credentialed Balance and Falls Professional and physical therapist for nearly 30 years, in a fall prevention circuit class designed with exercises backed by research to help prevent first and future falls. Classes will include warm up, progressive strengthening, progressive balance, and education on topics to help you prevent falls. Kristina is certified in the Otago Exercise Program which has been proven to reduce the risk for falls in older adults by 35-40%. This class will be based on exercises in this program and more. INTENSITY-LEVEL: Low to Moderate. Elevates the heart rate and quickens breathing because it demands a noticeable yet manageable effort. DURATION: Typically 45 minutes of movement including standing and walking.
